After a long period of negotiation an implementation protocol (IP) between the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Human Settlements and the HDA was concluded in January 2013.
In terms of the agreement, the HDA will be required to assist the department with land assembly from the planning phase through to acquisition and holding.
A meeting was held with the department in February 2013 to discuss the implementation of the IP, and the Agency has already been requested to assist with the finalisation of a land transaction.
