The annual South African Local Government Association (SALGA) national conference took place in Durban from 29 August to 1 September 2011.
The HDA had a stand for the duration of the conference, where HDA representatives Mvuli Mtoba and Zinhle Mbanjwa spent four days hard at work distributing marketing materials and sharing information about the agency. All 278 municipalities and nearly 3000 delegates attended.
According to Mbanjwa, the municipalities have challenges that we can assist with. She added, “Many of the visitors were councillors, so an effort will be made to engage with officials when we do follow-ups.”
