The HDA hosted another National Upgrading Settlements Programme (NUSP) for Municipalities workshop on 11 March.
The participants of the workshop were Cluster 2 NUSP municipalities (Metsimaholo, Dihlabeng, Maluti-a-Phofung, Moqhaka and Matjhabeng local municipalities), Informal Settlements Upgrading (ISU) champions, and Free State district and provincial Human Settlements officials.
The main objective of the workshop was to achieve inputs and finalisation of the draft Free State Provincial Informal Settlements Upgrading Strategy and the Informal Settlements Chapter of the Municipal Housing Sector Plan.
The HDA received heartfelt applause from the attendees for hosting the enlightening workshop and achieved finalisation of the two strategic documents, which will assist the Free State Department of Human Settlements to address the informal settlements upgrading programme in a strategic manner.
