On 22 August, Sol Plaatje municipality, Northern Cape awarded a trophy to the HDA as a token of gratitude for a successful presentation on how the HDA uses GIS in the housing sector. The HDA uses GIS to obtain trends analysis of housing developments and mapping as well as to conduct desktop analysis to identify well-located land.
