LAST PHASE OF THE N2 GATEWAY MARKED AND RESIDENTS GET THEIR TITLE DEEDS
The Minister of Human Settlements, Lindiwe Sisulu will on 16 September 2017 hand over more than two thousand (2000) title deeds to the housing beneficiaries of the N2 Gateway Mega project the biggest Human Settlements project since the dawn of democracy.
The event will be held at the Delft part of the N2 Gateway housing project launched in 2005 to restore dignity and provide decent shelter to residents from informal settlements and backyard dwellers along the N2 freeway in the city of Cape Town.
The project consists of Joe Slovo, Delft Symphony, Delft 7-9, Boystown and Temporary Relocations Areas (TRA) which are constructed to hold residents as construction gets underway in the areas they had built informal settlements.
Minister Sisulu will be accompanied by the Western Cape Provincial Minister of Human Settlements, Mr Bonginkosi Madikizela (MPL), and members of the Portfolio Committee on Human Settlements.
The handover also marks the reaching of the half way mark in the completion of the last phase of the N2 Gateway Project which was incepted in 2004.
