An HDA office in the Free State

 

On 12 May, Taffy Adler, CEO HDA, joined Mosima Mehale, the agency’s newly appointed manager of the Free State programme, at the Govan Mbeki awards ceremony in Bloemfontein. The HDA was the sponsor of three awards and donated three laptops to the Best Young Contractor, Best Woman Contractor and Best Contractor.

A workshop for metros, with the theme, Leadership in local government – building globally competitive cities, took place from 2 to 9 March as part of the executive programme of the graduate school of development, policy and practice at Stellenbosch University. Participants of the conference were city mayors and executive management teams of the metros.

HDA hosts community development workshop

 

A community development workshop was hosted by the HDA and the National Associations of Social Housing Organisations(NASHO) on 18 and 19 April in Johannesburg. The purpose of the workshop was to explore the role of social rental housing agencies in community development in South Africa, as well as an international perspective, to increase an exchange between social housing institutions, rental housing agencies and other organisations that focus on community development.
