On 19-21 August 2014, the HDA Free State conducted the last site inspections of informal settlements in the province.
On 27 August the HDA, in partnership with the Project Preparation Trust (PPT), presented a workshop to launch the Livelihoods and Early Child Development (ECD) Guidelines for practitioners, in support of the implementation of the Informal Settlements Upgrading Programme (UISP).
The HDA, along with the NDHS hosted the Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Building, Rasmus Helveg Petersen, on 2 September at Joe Slovo in Cape Town, a project of the N2 Gateway Project.
The HDA has released land in the North West Province in record time. It took only four months to release land to upgrade the Rooigrand informal settlement.
The HDA was invited by NASHO, in conjunction with the Wits Business School, to take part in a Wits School of Governance training programme called the Social and Rental Housing Programme, on 18 September.
