This week, our country reached a sad moment in the progression of the coronavirus pandemic, as we recorded our 219th death from the disease.
Every life lost is a tragedy.
These 219 people who passed away had families, they had dependents, friends and colleagues.
Their lives were cut short by a virus that has caused human and economic devastation across the world.
The Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation, Lindiwe Sisulu, will today, 08 May 2020 visit the residents of Plot 323 in Wilgespruit who have been living in tents to access progress made in the construction of their Temporary Residential Units.

On the 27th of April 1994, the men, women and children of South Africa emerged from the dark vale of oppression to stand in the light of freedom.
As millions cast their votes for the first time, they boldly declared to the world that South Africa belongs to all who live in it.
The Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation, Lindiwe Sisulu, will today, 24 April 2020 receive a status update on the work that is being done to ensure the densely populated informal settlements are de-densified in order to curb the spread of the COVID-19. She will also receive a report on the situation in Lawley.
