While moving full-steam-ahead with its support of informal settlement upgrading in the distressed mining towns initiative, the HDA is also publishing various best-practice publications to assist and guide government officials and other key players involved in the upgrading of informal settlements.
The HDA KwaZulu-Natal team has secured prime office space on the edge of the Durban central business district.
On 9 November the HDA participated in the 2015 Human Settlement Celebrity Build at the Savanna City integrated human settlement project in the Sedibeng District Municipality, Gauteng.
During August and September 2015 the HDA, together with other human settlement entities, participated in the Limpopo Women’s Build.
The HDA has put in place efficient systems and procedures to support provinces and municipalities in releasing state-owned land and/or purchasing private land for human settlement development.
